About Mr. Hazlett
My name is Jon Hazlett, and I teach art to approximately 1,100 students including all grades at Clear Lake and Daniel Axford Elementary. For the 2016-2017 school year, this includes 4th and 5th grade art at Leonard Elementary. All art classes are approximately one hour every 2 weeks, except for the Young Fives classes, which are a half-hour every week, and our Cognitively-Impaired class, which meets 3-4 times every week for a half hour.
I have been teaching elementary art in Oxford since 1999, and I have also taught summer school (language arts and math) in Oxford for several years. As I gain more experience with infusing technology into art education, I have been attending and presenting at the MACUL educational technology conference nearly every year since 2003. Aside from teaching, I love hanging out with my cats, visiting art galleries, creating music, and writing comedy shows.
