Students painted tubes to make alligators and used fine motor skills to create snakes with pipe cleaners and beads. Thanks to 5th Grader helpers for your assistance!
Web page is here: http://strongstart.blogspot.com/2012/11/coloured-pom-pom-drop.html This example shows tape, but if there was a way to better adhere (wrapping paper?) tubes to a flat surface (masonite?), this would be a lot more durable. Michaels crafts has pom poms, as well as Meijer. Obviously, the color of the tubes doesn't have to match this example. PLEASE COMMENT BELOW IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO WORK ON THIS PROJECT. THANKS! Original website: http://sewfantastic.blogspot.ca/2012/05/rainy-day-fun.html I already have 2 baking pans. The site above has a link to a template to print out the rainbow, then all one would need is pom poms, glue, and magnetic tape. Pretty simple! THANKS TO MRS. EARLES FOR HELPING WITH THIS ONE! I like this table because it features a cutout for a replaceable plastic bin.
PLEASE COMMENT BELOW IF YOU CHOOSE TO HELP WITH THIS PROJECT, THANKS! This example shows brown beans, but it wouldn't necessarily have to be that. It looks like they are using a large plastic bin to hold all of the materials. I will look for another example I saw where a table was actually built, with a hole cut to house plastic bins that could be interchanged.
Also, I have funnels. I just have to remember to bring them to school! PLEASE COMMENT BELOW IF YOU CHOOSE TO HELP WITH THIS PROJECT, THANKS! This idea was found here: http://johnsonerin1984.wordpress.com/?s=pumpkin&submit=Search (or you can click the button below). This one is pretty straight-forward: large felt pieces with magnetic tape glued to the back of the felt pieces. I am ordering magnetic tape, and I have a glue gun with sticks. I can order felt if necessary. Of course, if you have your own materials/donations, that's great too! The same thing could be done with a clown theme, a monster, animals, etc. |
